As we reminisce the journey of our organisation, we realise that over all these years our customers have always been at the centre of our goals. Be it our adherence to transparent communication, a strong moral code of conduct and using technology to usher in more efficiency, we have partnered with the best in the business while staying true to our founding principles. It has helped us deliver exceptional experiences at every turn while building resilient supply chains for our clientele.
Varuna Group was founded by Vikas Juneja & Vivek Juneja in 1996. The company commenced operations in Bareilly with 2 trucks.
During our early years, we were a contractor to express service providers in Delhi.
We became the partner of choice for MNCs in FMCG and Tyres.
We pioneered 32” multi-axle trucks, modifying 22” Taurus, to facilitate transportation of big shipments, especially for long haul transport.
Varuna Group became an ISO 9001:2008 certified organisation in 2008.
We continued to focus on FMCG & Tyres. During the same period, we restructured all non-scalable and non-sustainable business practices.
We also installed GPS units in our entire fleet, enabling 100% in-transit visibility.
Our fleet grew to 500+ owned trucks.
We became the preferred partner for leading companies in FMCG & Auto.
We underwent a strategic shift and began offering warehousing and value-added services.
With yet another strategic shift, we began offering supply chain consulting services. We established a supply chain lab and 5 MRO Hubs.
We were managing 15 top-notch storage facilities covering ~500,000 sq. ft. and had incorporated fleet hubs across India.
We expanded our fleet size to 1600+ trucks.
We added another 100 trucks to our fleet, growing it to 1700+ trucks.
We were now managing 750,000 sq. ft. of warehousing space.
We opened a Multi User Facility (4.3 lakh sq. ft.) at Shambhu Naka near Ambala in Punjab, the largest of its kind in the area.
Our warehousing area increased to 1,200,000 sq. ft.
We unified and re-distributed our services to form three new lines of business - Logistics, Warehousing and Integrated Services - under the umbrella of the Varuna Group.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, we ramped up our digitisation efforts and instated contactless logistics while pioneering Digital Lorry Receipts (LR) and setting up a Warehouse Management System (WMS). We turned the crisis to our advantage, helping our existing and new customers transport essential goods across India.
